Generating profits and paying generous dividends is\nstill the big goal, but how to achieve it, and by what means?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Stakeholders must be convinced, and their respect and admiration\nmust be earned through consistency between the profit generated\nand the opportunities and value creation that people and the\nplanet receive in return. The internal audience is strategic in this\npersuasion process and the ESG puts HR closer to people, not only by solving daily operational issues, but as an agent of change.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As a soccer team, it is useless to aspire to a more beautiful, pass-\nexchange, and more enjoyable game style if the team, inside the\ndressing room, does not buy into the idea, has not been trained to\nplay that way, and is not physically and mentally prepared to\nembrace that style change.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Supported by ambitious objectives, aligned with the United\nNations Sustainable Development Goals, and validated by\nindependent institutes, Prysmian Group has established clear,\ntransparent, and feasible commitments to be a strategic player in\nthe green, electric, and digital transformation of the planet. First, it\nhas sought to frame the global guidelines regarding the reality of\nthe regions of activity; and, in a region as complex and\nmulticultural as Latin America, good governance, committee, and\nworking group formation are essential to be more energetic.\nAware of the level we are at and the level we want to reach, our\nfocus is back on the road. It is right here where we dedicate\nourselves to finding talents and preparing all those who are\nalready with us to get there.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When compared to other regions, the Latin America division is the\nregion where the Prysmian Group has trained and prepared its\nemployees the most with significant indicators. Only in 2023, each\nprofessional received around 50 hours of training (average per\ncapita), and we know that by the end of December, this number\nwill be even higher.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Capacity building combines face-to-face and remote activities and\ninvolves programs ranging from a global point of view as\nprofessional development to a more specific one focused on the\nemployee's field of activity. The commitment of our team is\nimpressive, and this is reflected in the opportunities we can create\nfor them.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>One of the main focuses we have had during the year has been\nthe development of our leaders. Several programs have been\n\nlaunched; the most outstanding are Legacy Leaders, in\npartnership with INSPER for professionals from Brazil, and\nLeadership Essentials, in partnership with The Tecnol\u00f3gico de\nMonterrey [Technological and Higher Studies Institute of\nMonterrey] in Mexico, for Spanish-speaking countries. Another\nrecently launched program was Leadership Fundamentals, which\nfocuses on leaders from operational areas. We understand that a\nleadership that is becoming increasingly prepared in soft skills\nprovides the right working environment for the growth and\ndevelopment of all professionals. Leaders are responsible for\nbuilding healthy, ethical, and non-judgmental environments\n(physical and emotional); they are also responsible for providing\nthe highest commitment possible.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the training, we have also had several support and\ndevelopment programs for leaders, such as 180\u00ba Evaluation,\nmentoring, coaching, and Team Coaching, among others, which\nhave contributed to the creation of individual development plans.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The focus on knowledge has also helped us bridge the digital\ninclusion gap, a common challenge for companies that their\noperations between manufacturing and back-office operations.\nEveryone needs to feel part of a common team and have the tools\nto achieve this. In this regard, we have also made great strides\nwith the creation of Wi-Fi spaces within our operating units, as well\nas the use of systems like Workday, which allow our employees to\ninteract with Prysmian digitally. Another form of digital inclusion is\nalready being implemented in some countries in the region with\nPrysmian's new reward platform, GoPrysmian. From the first\nquarter of 2024, all countries will be connected on this platform to\nreward their professionals better and have more inclusive digital\ncommunication with all our 4,500 employees in the region.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Another valuable tool we use to understand the organizational\nclimate is our Speak Up research, which we have conducted\nannually.
