The TGP/TC-ER is a multiconductor cable consisting of individually insulated soft copper wires of the EcoPlus THHN/THWN-2 type, helically assembled, protected by a breakable hydrophobic filler material resistant to impact, and covered with a black thermoplastic polyvinyl chloride (PVC) outer sheath that is resistant to water, corrosives, and UV sunlight.
Characteristics
The TGP/TC-ER multiconductors operate at a maximum voltage of 600 V.
They are manufactured in the following configurations and gauge ranges: douplex, triplex, and quadruplex, ranging from 14 AWG (2.08 mm²) to 4 AWG (21.2 mm²).
Its cores or individual wires are of the EcoPlus THHN/THWN-2 type. designed to operate at a maximum temperature of 90°C. in dry, damp, and wet environments, resistant to oils, gasoline, and corrosives, and certified VW-1 (flame retardant).
Applications:
Its oil resistance makes it ideal for motor connections, industrial circuits, general branch wiring, and service stations.
It is UL certified for powering deep well pumps and for installation in the permitted uses for TC-ER (Tray cable) conductors, according to Article 336.10 of the NEC.
Approved for installations in suspended ceilings, non-suspended or exposed locations, lighting trays, junction box outlets, and in circuits.
